It’s getting cold around here. People are getting testy–including myself. What am I talking about? Especially myself. I almost “went postal” on someone at work today. That’s not a good feeling. The trouble with postal customers is that you can’t just tell them to hit the road if they give you trouble. People don’t see their mail delivery as a service but more as a right. It’s tough to deal with people in this situation. That’s the hardest part of this job.
I am very ready to be done here in McGrath. Hardly anyone I know wants to talk to me anymore because all I have to talk about is working at the post office, and even I know that’s really boring. I keep hearing that this is an “experience”. Well, I’m all experienced out. It’s high time to experience something else. “Get busy living or get busy dying.”
