The best part about being able to present in Vegas was that I got to bring Noel with me. Because the English department is so poor though, we shared a room with Jeff, his wife Sarah, and Ashley – which was actually a lot more fun than it sounds. Even though I’ve been to Vegas a couple of times I’ve never actually been to the strip . . . so while spending our three days in Vegas we ate at the Cheesecake Factory, when to Madame Tussauds (bring your student ID and  you can get a discount), watched the Bellagio fountain a couple of times, marveled at all the gaudy buildings, and went to a buffet. Noel and I also managed to spend time with the fam and hand out candy to cute trick-or-treaters. Silly pictures of us posing with wax people and alligators can be found below.
