When I downloaded my photos from this month I found two very interesting stories. First, the tale of our February (minus our awesome Groundhog Day) according to my photos.
After the dump of snow on Groundhog Day, the weather got really warm and the gutters were running high.
Because I’m an awesome parent, I let the kids play in the water on the way home from school.
Cooper made these adorable minion Valentine’s for all the kids in his class.

We went on a 1 night getaway over Valentine’s/ President’s Day weekend to YMCA of the Rockies.
Playing checkers at the lodge. (Cooper drew his own checkerboard and tries to play with buttons, so this made his day.)
YMCA of the Rockies has a lot of amenities (roller skating rink, pool, etc), but one of the most enjoyable parts of our visit was hanging out at the library.
The library was cozy and a nice refuge from the windy cold.
It’s completely fine with me that our kids love books.
One weekend I went to a women’s conference my church put on and Noel took the kids to the zoo.

The zoo was promoting an upcoming movie (Zootopia) and the kids loved all the swag.
I think the kids really enjoyed hanging out with dad all to themselves.
The kids started swim lessons. Ellen is part fish and Cooper has come a long way from the days he was petrified of the water.
Cooper got invited to a birthday party for a friend from school. Where he played soccer.
The valve inside the house on our main water line started to leak so we polished our plumbing skills to fix it, twice. (The first time it was still leaking.)
We have had some unbelievably nice days and are doing all we can to soak up the sun.
