Treadmill Fun

Treadmill Fun

Okay, so I guess I am the last person on earth to see this, but it is absolutely hilarious, so if you’ve already seen this don’t worry about it. This music video shows much more talent than all of those you will see on MTV or whatever. It’s a good thing this wasn’t around when I was a kid or I’m sure I would really have hurt myself trying this.

Fall Break – Zion Narrows

Fall Break – Zion Narrows

What a weekend. Instead of catching up on homework like I should have, Audrey and I and our neighbors Nathaniel and Lina went backpacking in the Narrows at Zion National Park instead. It was amazing. The changing of the colors was just gorgeous. There were waterfalls and giant canyon walls. The leaves falling off the trees on the rim were raining down into the canyon. It was surreal. The water was a little cold so we did the whole thing…

General Conference

General Conference

This last weekend Audrey and I had the chance to go to Salt Lake City for the General Conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  We went on Sunday morning and it was a wonderful experience.  So much good counsel that is so needed was given.  It was a good weekend to spend time with family and be spiritually fed. However, as always seems to happen in life when good things are about to come to pass,…

Holy Catfish Batman!

Holy Catfish Batman!

Of mice and men

Of mice and men

So, what’s the first thing you want to see when you come home from an 18 mile run? Well, not an alive mouse writhing in a glue trap in the middle of the kitchen floor. But, alas that’s what greeted our sore bodies when upon our arrival. Therefore, instead of relaxing and making a large pancake breakfast we got to inventory everything in the pantry for mice meddling (fortunately there wasn’t any), search the kitchen cupboards and behind the oven…

The Fray

The Fray

We went to The Fray in concert last night. Very good show. We had a great time. It’s always nice to go see a band that is just as good in concert as they are on their album. It’s really kind of a rare thing these days. It was a good set complete with some new music that I assume will be on their next CD, like a new, wonderfully melancholy song “Happiness,” and a hilarious cover of Shakira’s “Hips…

One really old tree

One really old tree

To celebrate the 4th of July this year we decided to go and explore some of this great country in which we live.  To do this we made a pilgrimage to visit one of the oldest living things around–the Jardine Juniper tree in Logan canyon.  All of the campgrounds and picnic areas in the canyon were full to overflowing and there was quite a traffic jam caused by people floating the canal.  However, 10.4 miles up the canyon at the…
