End of School, Beginning of Summer

End of School, Beginning of Summer

I  was mostly excited for school to end. I’ll miss the few hours of freedom I get during the school year, but I love the lazy, low-key lifestyle of summer. I love not having to rush my kids out the door every morning or having to remember what assortment of things I need to pack for them that day. I love the absence of homework and how low pressure our activities are. Most of all, I love warm weather and vacations. Summer…

Summer Lovin’

Summer Lovin’

Apparently, summer is over. I’m still not sure how that happened. Three months ago when preschool ended I made a master list of things I wanted to do. I even divided it into categories and made a master schedule for what days of the week I would attack different types of goals. Then I never looked at it until yesterday. Instead of feeling bummed that I didn’t successfully micromanage our summer, I’m doing a recap of the fun things we did do…

Chance of Rain

Chance of Rain

Writer’s Block

Writer’s Block

Some family members expressed concern about our welfare since we haven’t blogged in over a week. Don’t worry. We weren’t consumed in the fire (not even close) and our plane from our Labor Day trip landed safely. My creative muse took a vacation, but hopefully will be back soon. It kills me when I can’t think of anything to write, or worse when life is too poetic to be captured by my limited abilities. I wish I had the makings…

Real Fireworks

Real Fireworks

Noel and I seem to have bad Karma when it comes to the 4th of July. It’s just not our holiday. However, this year instead of anyone getting upset, separated, or starved there just weren’t any fireworks. Instead there was a downpour with lightning. Honestly, I think I prefer the lightning. Sorry I didn’t get pictures of the lightning. I’m not that talented. Happy Fourth!
