Tenure

Tenure

So, someone copied this comic strip and placed it in the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department office. I think this more or less perfectly describes what it is like being a disaffected college student. Somewhere in the back of my mind I tell myself that this is an investment and I’m not just prolonging growing up.

Same As it Ever Was

Same As it Ever Was

My parents were  young in the 80’s and huge fans of the band Talking Heads. Currently I am reminded of one of their most popular songs “Once in a Lifetime” which features a lost and confused main character. Nearing the End

Nearing the End

Christmas break is drawing nearer and nearer and I’ve been trying to hold off posting so Noel could have a turn, but I am bored (my finals are ridiculously easy) and Noel is busy (his finals are significantly difficult). I have highlighted some of the things we have learned during the past 3 weeks below: Contrary to what people at church may sometimes think, email forwards, even ones about apostles, are not always true (shocking I know). If you go…

Annie’s Graduation

Annie’s Graduation

We just had a great little road trip down to Las Vegas to go to Annie’s graduation. Even though we spent most of the time driving down there and across town, it was still a great time. We got to go on a cousin hike in Red Rock Canyon there by Vegas. While we were there someone got flown out hanging from a stretcher on a helicopter because she got heat stroke. We saw a king snake or two, and…
