Connections

Connections

After preparing all summer, all 1611 students enrolled in USU Connections arrived on campus . . . ready for me to entertain them. Luckily I had my boss (Noelle), 60 Connections instructors, and the wonderful A-team and Honors Peer Mentors to back me up. I don’t know if the kids born in 89-90 are a better bunch (special shout out to sister Hope and sister-in-law Vanessa) or if I was just better at my job the second time around, but unlike last year, I even found myself enjoying the week at times. ASUSU did a great job with their freshmen celebration, Tim Gabrielson had a superb performance that nearly filled the Kent Concert Hall, the Taste of Logan was a huge success with only minor glitches, and Ishmael Beah gave a wonderfully thought provoking convocation lecture. Like a proud mother, I’ve attached some pictures of my “kids.” Although it was fun, I’m glad to be done.
