Hazardous Weather

I think the Weather Service folks here in Colorado are feeling left out with all the hurricane action on the east coast. I checked the local forecast this morning and found the following “Hazardous Weather Outlook:”

DRY CONDITIONS AND WARMER THAN AVERAGE TEMPERATURES CAN BE EXPECTED ACROSS THE FORECAST AREA TODAY AND TONIGHT…EVEN WITH PERIODS OF HIGH CLOUDINESS. A LARGE HIGH PRESSURE RIDGE OVER THE GREAT BASIN WILL CONTINUE TO PROGRESS SLOWLY TOWARDS COLORADO DURING THE NEXT 24 HOURS.

So, partly cloudy, no wind, high of 67F. Watch out, it’s going to be a hazardously nice day.

  1. Those poor people, it is sad to watch the media be so engaged upon the suffering of others. One of the things I am sure of is that we will have our fair share of storms. To recognize the form of our storm as it approaches us will be our test. Will we be prepared?

    Probably not.
