Chalk Art Festival

Chalk Art Festival

Last weekend we went to the Denver Chalk Art Festival. I’ve meant to take us there for years, but this year we finally made it happen. We rode into Denver on the train, which the kids absolutely loved. On our way to the festival we got sidetracked by a splash pad. We let the kids run through and as we were standing there we noticed a big event happening at the other end. We wandered that way to see what…

Mom: Part 2

Mom: Part 2

I’ve mentioned multiple times that my mother is a talented photographer. Every time we see her we are generally lucky enough to get a free photo shoot or two or eight 🙂 Here are my two favorites from the past week.

This is what happens when we come home hungry and bored late at night after running on gerbil wheels treadmills for four miles. Mix in a bag of Rold Gold, and you get…

Spiral Jetty

Spiral Jetty

Any weekend is a good reason to take a few extra days and enjoy the summer. We got to spend a very nice, relaxing weekend up at Park City with Grandma and Grandpa McConkie. While up there we got to see a parade of the fireman’s convention (a whole parade of firetrucks, the coolest part of any parade), check out some of the local outrageously expensive real estate, and spend some time at the pool. After that we went down…
