Some family members expressed concern about our welfare since we haven’t blogged in over a week. Don’t worry. We weren’t consumed in the fire (not even close) and our plane from our Labor Day trip landed safely. My creative muse took a vacation, but hopefully will be back soon. It kills me when I can’t think of anything to write, or worse when life is too poetic to be captured by my limited abilities. I wish I had the makings of T.S. Eliot, Steinbeck, or Terry Tempest Williams, but I don’t. Still, I think there’s something to be said for living life fully as opposed to capturing it fully. Here are some things I’ve been living for lately:
I enjoy Golden’s relaxed atmosphere. This historic sign cracked us up.
These two guys mean the world to me.
Cooper’s laugh is contagious.
Cooper’s magic works everywhere, even hospital waiting rooms.
Visiting family, even if the conditions aren’t ideal.
Cooper and his Grandma Glenna just couldn’t stop smiling at each other on our visit to Vegas.
I am NEVER bored when Cooper is around. So much personality.
I’ve always loved rain. Maybe it has something to do with my long fascination with the story of Noah’s Ark.
On more than one occasion I’ve frightened one of these creatures as I hurry from one thing to another. Every time it makes me pause and remember life doesn’t always have to move fast.

what a happy little boy! I too have been missing your posts, but I know you were a busy traveling girl. Don’t worry about not being poetic, we won’t hold it against you.
Can I just say that I love your blog. Wow! When I asked Blake why our blog wasn’t as cool, he said something about him lacking Noel’s mad computer skills and I’m guessing it also has something to do with me lacking Audrey’s mad writing skills. 😉 Anyway, Cooper is such a cute little guy! He looks like a perfect blend of both of you. I’m glad we’ll be able to keep up with all of your adventures.
