At Home Workout
My work has been shut down by a state executive order closing all gyms until at least April 16th. I actually think it was a good call – the Golden Community Center, like most gyms, is a bustling place with lots of older clientele, kids running around to various classes, and lots of equipment sharing. Still, it’s hard when your routine, especially such a healthy one, gets disrupted. A few of our trainers and fitness instructors were asked to put together videos or do live streamed workouts. I tried my hand at it and made this at home strength and cardio circuit that requires only a chair. Watching yourself on video is hard, but also very informative – ha, ha. There are definitely more professionally done videos out there, but with this one you get to hear the comforting sound of my voice 😉 I’m trying to maintain a consistent workout routine at home, not because I want to have a beach body (Who needs a beach body if you can’t go to the beach?), but because it really helps me with my stress and anxiety management. That’s something I think we all can use help with right now.
