In the spirit of holiday miracles we received a camera and managed to keep it in our possession . . . so far. During our precious three weeks of freedom we managed to enjoy many wonderful winter sports such as downhill skiing (a free ski trip to The Canyons with the cousins, courtesy of Warren Miller), cross country skiing (in the Arctic wilderness of Logan Canyon), and shoveling our driveway (in the frozen tundra of our driveway).
Other than that, most of our time was spent drinking hot cocoa and playing Scrabble in the cozy warmth of the Love Grotto (Alaskan cedar sign provided by Mom). Don’t worry, we’re working on a theme song. Something like “The Love Grotto is a little old place where we can get to-geh-the-er-er / Love Grotto Ba-by” . . . Yeah, something like that.
That’s us signing off for the year 2007, for a more in-depth coverage on the year’s events check out the detailed and fairly accurate account by Dave Barry.
